Malcolm Simpson, Vice President of Advertising at Capital One has spent over 15 years in challenging marketing roles with media startup Rock the Bells, IHG Hotels and Resorts, Kellogg
Company, General Mills, and Johnson & Johnson. He has worked on some of America’s most iconic brands like MorningStar Farms, Pringles, Keebler Cookies, Betty Crocker, Totino’s Pizza Rolls and Johnson’s Baby Shampoo. Malcolm has been instrumental in helping to turn around
declining brands, developed business diving global marketing campaigns and launched category first innovations.

Prior to his marketing career, Malcolm was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers leading engagement teams tasked with delivering audited financial statements for clients in the automotive, education and home improvement industries. Malcolm holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a focus in financial reporting from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a Master’s Degree in Marketing with a concentration in brand management from the Olin Business School at Washington University-St. Louis. Malcolm was initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated through the Pi Upsilon Chapter in the Fall of 2001. He is a recipient of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management fellowship in the Olin Business School.

Malcolm grew up in Southfield, MI and attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High
School and Academy in Detroit, MI. Malcolm and his wife, La Shawna, have three
young daughters and happily reside in the Atlanta area.
