Irene Campbell
Speaker Bio
Irene Campbell is a graduate from the City College of New York with a BA in Media and
Communications. Currently, she is a Paid Search Supervisor at Mediahub. Previously, she
co-led the Once in a Lifetime Storytelling Series, which provided a safe space for marginalized
groups within Mediahub to amplify their voices and share their life stories leading up to how they
got into advertising. These stories consist of themes surrounding Blackness, Pride/Coming out
day, Hispanic/Latino heritage, API heritage, Diversity Month, Women's Month, Mental Health
awareness & more.

Irene has been a co-lead of the NY chapter of Black@Mediahub Employee Resource Group
since Fall 2019. After meeting with fellow Boston B@ members and learning about the ERG, the
group developed in NY. Before the 2020 pandemic, the group met in office, to freely share their
frustrations, pain, joy, and a place to celebrate themselves, their blackness, history, a place to
connect, vent, talk and be their truest selves. She has also spearheaded some Black History
Month activations. During the BLM uprising in 2020, she led several conversations with
leadership and worked on several projects to provide leadership with the tools to uplift and
support the black community financially, physically, and emotionally across the company. She
also discussed the pain and suffering experienced within the country and around the world to
colleagues.

In March of 2021, Irene co-founded the PerSISTERS ERG, which is a safe intersectional space
for all Mediahub employees who identify as women to find support and empowerment within
their careers and community. The group utilized their shared experiences and resources to
create initiatives that challenged Mediahub to be a more equitable and inclusive workplace.
Members met on a monthly basis, and created a professional bucket list to solicit topics of
discussion and education from all the team members. I've participated in discussions
surrounding Domestic Violence, Body Autonomy, Roe v Wade, How to Show up in the
Workplace, Feminism and more.
