Laurie Batista is a creative industry Talent and Recruitment expert working for Netflix on the Talent Acquisition team for the Marketing, Film, Editorial & Publishing divisions.
Prior to Netflix, Laurie worked at Wieden+Kennedy, as a Talent Lead in their Portland location, then went on to be the Talent + Inclusion Director at W+K NY, leading the inclusion practice locally and spearheading strategic recruiting projects across North America and LATAM. Her experience also includes time at agencies like Hill, Holliday; Huge, and co:collective.

As a first-generation Black, Latina Laurie’s personal mission is to connect underrepresented talent with life-changing creative opportunities, is a cornerstone to her approach to Talent Recruitment.

She attended Boston University College of Communications and Fashion Institute of Technology, where she studied Advertising & Marketing Communications.

In her spare time, Laurie is a mother to a one-year-old son, wife, and Co-founder & President of the organization We Identify™, a collective with a mission to unite and amplify Talent professionals of difference -- those working in HR, EDI, & Recruitment -- across the creative industries.
